![]() ![]() Rediscover Catholicism Book Discussion: Now is Our TimeFebruary 22nd, 2013Thank you for participanting in our on-line Book Discussion. Once you finish the book, we recommend that you pass it along to someone that you know would benefit from it. It is an easy way to share your faith!
OPENING PRAYERLoving Father, Open our hearts and minds and allow us to see the beauty of our faith. Show us what is possible and fill us with the grace, strength, and wisdom to live all the good things we explore here together. Send your Spirit upon us so that we can discover your dream for us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves, and have the courage to defend and celebrate this true self in every moment of our days. We ask you to bless in a special way the hungry, the lonely, the sick, and the discouraged. Remind us of our duty toward them and inspire us to be filled with a profound gratitude. We ask all this through your Son, Jesus. Amen. DISCUSSION (Rediscover Catholicism, Chapter 19 - 21)

Hi, Sean. Will you be keeping these blog pages up for a while?
Hi Vivian. Yes – we will keep all of these posts on the blog. You can find all of the Rediscover Catholicism Book Discussion posts by clicking the “Rediscover Catholicism” tag (in red above).
I think you missed the boat for people away from the church. I’ve read the book and have taken many notes,, and feel the book was for us people who practice theis religion, and want to improve. I can’t see where the book is going to get anyone back in the fold. I doubt very much if anyone fallen away will even finish the book. I wa very disappointed for the ones who went astray. Sorry
Thanks for your comments Joe! I wonder what it was about the book that you thought would not be appealing to those who are not practicing Catholicism? Do you have some people like that in your life? It might be a good test case to give the book to one of those people to see if it speaks to them. I know that in my case, I have had about 3 people contact me after reading the book. They self-identified as “non-practicing” and the book was a significant reason for them coming back to the faith. Maybe there are other people reading this blog that are non-practicing but have read the book. What was your reaction?
