Policy for Use of Logo and Coat of Arms
The Archdiocesan Coat of Arms is the central image expressing the unique origins, history, and identity of the local Church. As such, it is appropriate to safeguard this important symbol, and the logo which includes it, and to ensure that their use is consistent and appropriate. For that reason the following policy has been created:
- This is the official logo of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, incorporating the current version of the coat of arms. No earlier or alternative image of the logo or coat of arms may be used. The colors are intrinsic to the logo and may not be changed, although a two-color version – either black and white or red and white – is acceptable.
- The logo or coat of arms is to be part of any official communications coming from Archdiocesan offices, whether print or electronic, in addition to any other office logo or brand.
- The logo or coat of arms may be used by any office, agency, or institution of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or any event sponsored by an office, agency, or institution of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
- Any other use is forbidden unless approved by the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
