Speaker: Tony Melendez
Tony was born without arms because his mother was prescribed thalidomide during pregnancy.  He never let his handicap slow him down, and began “playing around” with the guitar in high school. In 1987, at age 25, he was invited to play for Pope John Paul II during his visit to the United States, and overnight the phone started ringing off the hook with engagement offers. Tony has traveled across the United States and to forty foreign countries, making countless television appearances and authoring a best-selling book, A Gift of Hope. Tony says, “Music has opened the door to my dreams and I will keep singing, continue to share my life, and keep makin’ music as long as people will listen”.
Musician: Jon Paul Hebert
Hailing from the Big Easy (New Orleans), Jon Paul has spent the last 10 years leading worship in Sacred Liturgy, Adoration, Retreats, and Prayer Services.   He considers his leadership skills and energetic guitar style a compliment to his inflamed passion for Christ. H is experiences of growing up as a “Cradle Catholic” in the “Bible Belt”, marrying his college sweetheart, and surviving Hurricane Katrina despite losing everything have honed him into who he is today.
