The Diocese of Covington is seeking an individual with the necessary professional training and background in finance and accounting to assume the role of Controller within the Diocesan Finance Office. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and has a broad responsibility to produce accurate financial information for Diocesan offices, officials, and entities, and to monitor financial controls that safeguard assets of the Diocese. Specific major duties include reconciliations, limited internal auditing, invoicing, tax reporting forms, workers compensation, preparation of financial statements, preparation of work papers for annual audit, closing of the fiscal accounting year, supervision, verifications, and general accounting and software assistance. Candidate requirements include advanced training in accountancy (a CPA license is preferred) with at least five years of previous experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller, and precision in written and oral communications. Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Cincinnati, Ohio currently has two Janitorial position openings in the Maintenance Department. These are both full-time non-exempt positions consisting of a 40 hour work week (Monday through Friday) with a full benefit package.

 

The first position works the hours of 12:00 noon – 8:00 pm during the school year, with summer hours being 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

 
The second position works the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm year round.
 
Below is a summary of responsibilities for both positions:
 

Perform all cleaning duties related to the buildings on campus, specifically Church, School and St. Sebastian Hall. Keep all grounds surrounding the campus clean and in good condition. Assist in any building and/or ground maintenance when necessary. Primary duties involve pulling trash, running a vacuum, dust mop and mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms. Report to Supervisor and Pastor any questions or problems with work.

The Diocese of Allentown has an immediate opening for a Director of School Finance within the Secretariat for Catholic Education.   The Director of School Finance is responsible for sound financial strategies and management to help our schools flourish.  This position will work with the Chancellor of Education to meet the pastoral, strategic and financial priorities and objectives set by the Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown.  Strong strategic, operational planning and financial management skills are required.

 

The Director will report to the Chancellor of Catholic Education with dotted line reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/Secretary for Temporal Services.  This position does not manager a team, but will work closely with the Office of Education, including those responsible for marketing and enrollment, scholarships and development.  Because of the tight link between diocesan schools and parishes, it will also be necessary for the Director of School Finance to collaborate with our central development, accounting and office support team and our Vicar for Pastoral Planning. This position will assist Pastors and School Boards of Limited Jurisdiction in evaluating and establishing functional and developmental goals and objectives.  Other key interfaces include the Diocesan Board of Education and the Diocesan Finance Council.  Scope of support includes 33 elementary schools, 6 high schools and 3 special learning centers across 5 counties – Lehigh, Berks, Northampton, Carbon and Schuylkill.

 

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education.

This position requires the ability to promote a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement which includes a commitment to the success of the individual schools and the Catholic education system as a whole.
