The Archdiocese of Cincinnati seeks a full time Director for the Office for Youth Evangelization & Discipleship. This person works in collaboration with the other office directors in the Department for Pastoral Life and Evangelization toward achieving the vision of the Archbishop and the department director, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the realm of disciple making Catholic youth ministry. The Director invites youth throughout the Archdiocese to live Catholic Christianity as a way of life, by seeking the face of Christ in the life of the Church (cf. Acts 2:42); creates and organizes pre-evangelizing and evangelizing events for youth; forms, invests in, and accompanies those entrusted with spiritual multiplication (i.e. not only the making of disciples, but making disciple-makers) in the realm of youth evangelization, beginning with the Office staff, Youth Ministers, campus ministers, coaches, teen leaders, etc. through programs of formation, personal mentoring, etc.
Desired Qualifications include minimum of a Master’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, religious education or related field; at least seven years of full-time youth ministry and/or young adult ministry experience, at least two of which were in diocesan administration, or equivalent. Catholic in good standing, with a history of effective leadership, collaboration, and supervision within Church ministry. Ability to form youth and those who minister to youth at the local level. Strong communication skills.
