St. Monica-St. George is seeking someone to fill the full time role of Pastoral Associate.  The primary responsibilities include:

 

 –Directing the RCIA program (6-12 candidates a year)
–Coordinating the Parish School of Religion on Sunday mornings (Pre-school–8th grade, 150+ students)
–Directing sacramental preparation for 1st Eucharist and Reconciliation, Confirmation.
–Continuing a thriving Adult Faith Formation program.

 

Other duties have been organizing a Women’s Spirituality monthly gathering, planning Funeral Liturgies with families (6-10 a year), visiting a small number of shut-in members and offering spiritual direction.

 

The parish, located in University Heights (Clifton area), is comprised of about 600 households from around the tri-state and serves as the Newman Center for the University of Cincinnati, thus serving hundreds of student households.

 

A preferred candidate will have a Master’s degree in theology, catechetics or pastoral studies, be committed to Christ and the Gospel, embrace a vision of Church as espoused by Vatican II and that emerging with Pope Francis!  The candidate will possess a welcoming approach to all people and have good organizational skills and computer literacy.  The position calls for flexibility and a desire to work with a team in a collaborative manner.

 

Salary and benefits are in keeping with standards in the Archdiocese.  The position begins July 1, 2015.
