The Business Manager at Guardian Angels supports the operational and business functions of the Parish. This position is responsible for all the resources of the parish and school. The Business Manager has three main areas of responsibility; financial, personnel, and facilities management.
 
Financial Management:
-Drafts the budget, monitors the total budgeting process, and manages fixed asset and accounting functions of the school.
-Allocates resources for activities in collaboration with the parish, school, and cemetery.
-Produces financial statements including Budget vs. Actual.
-Analyzes income, expenses, and financial trends.
-Responsible for all accounts payables, receivables, and payroll.
 
Personnel Management:
-Participates in hiring and onboarding of all parish employees. In collaboration with the Pastor, supports the hiring and termination polices of the parish
-Monitors and responsible for the administration of salary and benefits policies.
-Maintains files for all employees.
 
Facilities Management:
–Manages facilities and capital projects.
-Insures building and equipment permits are current and inspections occur as required.
-Solicits outside expertise to better inform property decisions as appropriate.
-This position also supervises the business support staff, evaluates need for upgrades to existing system, process, and equipment to support school activities and operations.
-Maintain all cemetery records and oversee all cemetery functions
 
Qualifications should include:
-Practicing Roman Catholic preferred
-Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the Church and the School.
-Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
 
Education/Experience:
-A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred (Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, etc.), or equivalent experience
-Experience in fund accounting
-Understanding a pastoral ministry, school life, and administrative management preferred.
-Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office, Paycor, PDS and Parishsoft

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati District Council (SVDP) has been providing innovative and practical basic needs assistance and systemic change advocacy for Cincinnati residents in need for 150 years. The organization works with those in need, regardless of race or creed, to bridge the gaps in their lives through home visits provided by neighborhood-based volunteer groups (Vincentians in Conferences), and groundbreaking Outreach Center initiatives like the Charitable Pharmacy and Homelessness Prevention program; a network of 11 food pantries; and seven thrift stores across Hamilton County. SVDP has an immediate opportunity for an Emergency Assistance Aftercare Advocate to play an integral role as a resource for neighbors who have recently obtained housing after leaving shelter. Our Neyer Outreach Center is located in Cincinnati’s West End and is open 6 days a week.
 
Scope of Position: The Emergency Assistance Aftercare Advocate is the primary contact person for Family Housing Partnership (FHP) referred clients. The Advocate provides and accurately documents a wide range of services to neighbors in need within established guidelines and in a spirit of kindness and respect.
 
Job Responsibilities:
1) Models the mission and values of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
2) Participate as a member of the SVDP Social Services team.
3) Respond to service requests from families who have exited services within the Family Housing Partnership, as well as requests that come in person or online.
4) Meet with neighbors to assess and respond to their needs within the parameters of agency guidelines and policies.
5) Be aware of and know how to access various funds available to St. Vincent de Paul-Cincinnati District Council.
6) Promptly and accurately document interviews with neighbors, assistance extended, referrals offered, etc., and develop and maintain files, case notes, and reports according to organizations specifications.
7) Assist in making appointments for St. Vincent de Paul services.
8) Be aware of and understand how to access services of other agencies.
9) Provide a report every six months regarding: the number of households referred for Emergency Assistance from FHP partners; the number of households that received services broken out by key services (i.e. financial assistance, food); and identify households to enable Strategies to End Homelessness to produce recidivism reports.
10) Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. College degree in social work, human services, or related fields is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills; an ability to communicate well orally and in writing; and a comfort in engaging with people of different cultural and economic backgrounds in a faith-based setting are necessary.

The receptionist manages the reception functions of the organization at the Neyer Outreach Center ensuring that all neighbors, volunteers, donors and other guests receive consistent, quality customer service. This includes receiving all guests into the building, handling some incoming phone calls and performing general administrative duties. This position is vital to the comforting security of our outreach center. Most importantly, our receptionist is the smiling, welcoming face of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
 
Job Responsibilities:

o Directs donors making in person contributions at the Neyer Outreach Center to the drop off location and provides donation receipts for “in-kind” contributions.
o Schedules home visit appointments for furniture requests.
o Ensures program forms and public information brochures are available in reception area.
o Coordinates ordering of office supplies for Neyer Outreach Center with the Executive Assistant.
o Trains new staff and volunteers on front desk policies & procedures.
o Provides leadership and direction to volunteers and staff who perform receptionist support.
o Participates as a member of the SVDP Social Services Team.
o Performs clerical duties as requested by supervisor.
o Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
A high School diploma or equivalent is required. Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills are required. Applicant must be able to work effectively with people of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Proficiency in Spanish is encouraged. Applicant must be able to prioritize and deal well simultaneously with multiple tasks and a variety of requests for service. A proficiency in both Word and Excel is essential.
