The Business Operations Specialist is a partner on a solid team. Working together with the CFO, the Accounting Manager, and the Staff Accountant, this position manages the expenditure of funds spent through the accounts payable system, along with other selected duties related to Business Operations.
This is a part-time position, approximately 28 hours per week.
Selected Duties
Manages accounts payable (AP) program for the school, including:
Vendor management
Purchase orders
Invoice management
Payment processing
Manages corporate credit card program
Maintains petty cash system
Assists with other tasks as needed (reconciling bank deposits, record management, etc.)
Candidates will have a minimum of a High School Diploma, and several years of experience with Accounts Payable.
Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar suite of accounting software is a plus.
Candidates should have experience, and ideally, training or certification with MS Word and Excel.

Provide a report every six months regarding: the number of households referred for Emergency Assistance from FHP partners; the number of households that received services broken out by key services (i.e. financial assistance, food); and identify households to enable Strategies to End Homelessness to produce recidivism reports
4. Engage neighbors seeking assistance, either by walk-in or appointment, to holistically assess overall situation, eligibility for assistance and provide appropriate SVDP assistance and referrals as necessary
5. Assess and respond, as necessary, to needs of neighbors presenting critical situations at any time during business hours
6. Prepare case notes; develop and maintain paper files; and enter required neighbor related data accurately into our case management system
7. Participate in selection process used to identify requests for rent and utility assistance to receive funding
8. Know and understand how to access assistance from community resources as appropriate to address needs presented by neighbors
9. Assist Call Center with harvesting calls from and engaging with Hispanic neighbors; provide team members with guidance to provide assistance to these neighbors
10. Lead/participate in special projects as assigned
11. Other duties as assigned
