Our chosen full-time assistant will be responsible for a host of tasks vital to the smooth running of the parish. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for greeting and welcoming parishioners and office visitors, supporting the Business Manager in daily operations, always answering the telephone with a professional manner, ordering office and church supplies, maintaining office equipment and ensuring the office projects a positive image for the parish. Other duties will include maintaining the parish data base and tracking contributions, oversee volunteers, backing up the housekeeper, maintaining the Parish Facebook page and bulk mailing. This position would include working an occasional Saturday.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, two or more years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant, excellent communication skills (orally and written), and have the ability to prioritize given tasks to work efficiently towards their completion. The Administrative Assistant will be detailed –oriented, possess problem solving skills, and be an analytical thinker while maintaining a positive professional demeanor.
