 A Vibrant Church

Family praying in church
Living the mission of Jesus Christ, we are fostering a vibrant church in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati by embracing our future.  Pastoral regions – a cluster, grouping or association of autonomous parishes – are vital to our future.  This is the result of years of planning and consultation among archdiocesan leaders and parishes.

National Association of African American Catholics in the United States (NAACUS)
Ms. Teresa Dade, Regional Coordinator for the Ecclesiastical Region 6, and I, Deacon Royce Winters, invite you to participate in the first NAACUS Region 6 Event, “A Eucharistic Celebration & Fellowship Meal: Recognizing the Gifts of the African Diaspora.” The event will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018, 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 1619 California Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237.

NAACUS was formed from the United States Catholic Bishops, Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church – Subcommittee on Pastoral Care of Migrants, Refugees and Travelers. The primary role of NAACUS is to further the mission of “strengthening the pastoral care of African Catholics in the United States…so that they can be better integrated into the wider Church…and to work more collaboratively and effectively toward promoting fuller evangelization, participation and integration of African Catholics in their region.” Please join us for this great celebration of God’s holy people and the gifts of Africa.
