The Blended Learning Center Success Coach (LCSC) will oversee the daily activities of the blended Learning Center.  The LCSC will support the Blended Learning Manager in organizing and motivating students during their daily time in the Learning Center.  The LCSC will also work with the technical support staff to ensure that Center computers are maintained and work properly.  This is a papa-professional position.
Primary Responsibilities:  Work with the content teachers and Blended Learning Manager to organize and manage the Learning Center to the benefit of all Purcell Marian students.  Facilitate teachers in learning ways to make meaningful and productive workshops for all students in the program; Engage in daily classroom management duties including directing students in the learning center and adjacent classroom facilities to ensure daily continuity of activities.  This includes management of attendance and discipline issues according to school policies: Grow to know the students personally and academically and serve as a motivational adult, helping them engage in effective work in their online curriculum; Assist students in accessing and moving through the online curriculum  This will require a working knowledge of the online system, but not a particularly advanced knowledge of the subject area; Work with students on their learning and study skills in the context of the online curriculum; Communicate with teachers and special education staff to review student progress and identify academic situations requiring intervention.  Participate effectively in this instructional team; Engage in basic trouble shooting of the Center computers and work with instructional technology staff to ensure that all computers are maintained and available to students; Be able to unlock quizzes and reset assignments in the evening with the use of an I-phone (or equivalent) as needed in the lab; Help facilitate and oversee the orientation process; Manage classroom activity and monitor student time on task.
