Cristo Rey Columbus High School (CRCHS) is a Catholic, co-ed, college-prep, school that is part of the national Cristo Rey network. The Cristo Rey Network educates 12,000 students in 37 high schools across the country. We serve a diverse group of students of all faiths who do not have the educational opportunity or financial means to attend another private, college-prep school. Our ultimate goal is that our students will graduate from college and become leaders in the public and private sector, service organizations, their own faith institutions, and the community at large, transforming the world for the good. Since the work in an innovative Professional Work Study Program (PWSP) and assign their earnings to the school in lieu of tuition. Principal Roles and Responsibilities:

– Serve as a spiritual leader for the school; promote and sustain the school’s Catholic identity; ensure that the school’s Christian values and mission drive decisions,and that liturgical practices, prayer, and Catholic culture are integrated into school life; ensure that time and resources are appropriately allocated to Campus Ministry and Adult Faith Formation.
– Ensure that all members of the school community are treated fairly, equitably, and with respect and compassion; positively support all stakeholders; actively work to create a loving environment; protect the rights and confidentiality of students and staff.
– Actively participate in and support the school’s leadership team; protect the rights and support the importance of integrating academics with the Corporate Work Study Program as part of a college preparatory experience; ensure clear communication of shared expectations for students.
-Actively participate in faith formation programs aimed at deepening and nurturing your capacity as a spiritual and mission-driven Catholic school leader.

The Principal is the school’s chief executive officer, pastoral leader, and public spokesperson with responsibilities for educational programs, school board relations, strategic planning and implementation, fund development, and financial management.
The successful candidate will be a practicing and active Catholic with an understanding of current Catholic spiritual life and an ability to provide a strong Catholic identity. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in education and meet the Commonwealth of KY state approved certification requirements or be working towards completion of certification within a mutually agreed upon timeline; or be uniquely qualified as defined by the Secretary for Catholic Education. The successful candidate will have academic preparation that includes course work in religious education, school administration, supervision, curriculum and instructional theory. Candidates should have five or more years of teaching, professional experience or administration. Previous experience in a Catholic School system is a plus as well as Spanish-speaking ability. Visionary and collaborative leadership, strong communication skills, enthusiasm for academic and artistic achievement, and technology experience are essential. The individual will be expected to work well with faculty, staff, students, and parents; collaborate with the school board and maintain positive relations with the community. Demonstrated administrative and managerial abilities, fiscal management skills, and experience in fund development or institutional advancement are preferred.

The Diocese of Youngstown is seeking highly qualified candidates for the full-time position of Associate Superintendent for Human Resources. This person is a member of the Office of Catholic Schools staff which provides oversight and support for 26 schools in a six-county area in northeast Ohio.
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
– Practicing Roman Catholic
– Strong commitment to the mission and ministry of total Catholic education and Catholic schools in particular
– Appropriate academic preparation, advanced degree in educational administration preferred
– Evidence of significant, successful teaching/leadership experience in Catholic schools
– Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
– Some high school experience preferred
Purpose of Position: The Associate Superintendent supervises the teacher hiring and evaluation processes and coordinates the development and implementation of personnel policies. The Associate Superintendent oversees the state licensure process, supervises the Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC), and coordinates the Resident Educator Program. The Associate Superintendent works collaboratively with the Office of Catholic Schools to plan professional development and other projects to benefit the schools in the Diocese of Youngstown. Other responsibilities may be included at the request of the Superintendent of Schools commensurate with an applicant’s experience and skills.
