Substitute Teachers
Welcome to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati
Are you looking for an enjoyable experience working in ministry with youth? Consider a paid substitute teaching position in Catholic schools that will:
- Provide meaningful service that helps young people
- Expand your own horizons
- Assist educators in their ministry
- Give back to the Catholic community
If you hold a Bachelor’s degree and are interested in changing careers, or if you are retired and have extra time to serve, consider substitute teaching in a Catholic School.
| The Ohio Department of Education requires applicants for any NEW license it issues to have a current (within the past year) Ohio criminal background check (BCI) as well as a federal criminal background check (FBI). The results must be submitted to ODE electronically through WebCheck. Effective January, 2010, applicants who are RENEWING a license and have lived continuously in Ohio for the past 5 years will need an FBI background check if the report on file with ODE is more than 5 years old on the date the application is received. A BCI background check is required if you do not have one on file at ODE. If you have not lived continuously in Ohio for the past 5 years, both the BCI and FBI background checks are required if the reports on file with ODE are more than 5 years old on the date the application is received. |
