Evangelization and Discipleship
We continue as ever in our mission of assisting Archbishop Schnurr in “directing and moderating all the catechetical activities of the Archdiocese” (NDC 59, GDC 265). Our Catechetical Certification processes and it’s requirements provide the means by which we empower others to effectively evangelize, disciple and teach the faith at every level.

Latino Catechetical Certification
The Latino community extends to every corner of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. To ensure that proper catechesis is available to all our members, including the Latino community, The Archdiocese of Cincinnati, through the Office for Evangelization and Discipleship, consults with each parish to establish Latino catechesis as needed, training individuals from within the Latino community in the ministry and work of catechist.
Camina con Cristo (Walk with Christ) – Dina Beach, Assistant Director for Latino Catechesis, is currently scheduling initial consultation with pastors and religious education directors following a successful season administering this innovative process. Pastors, DRE’s and others concerned with Catechetical ministry to the Latino Community should call (513) 421-3131
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has made available to parishes an exciting new digital tool for teaching and learning the Catholic faith. This “virtual library” of Catholic teaching is available “on demand” for personal growth, family study, small group and parish-wide encounters with Christ through the teachings of his Church.
While your parishioners can subscribe and pay for their own personal accounts on FORMED, it is recommended that your parish or school establish a master account which allows free access to the FORMED content for every member of your parish. Every ministry in your parish will benefit from gaining the incredible content featured on formed while, at the same time, giving each of your parish members the opportunity to engage the service from their homes, offices, phones, iPad’s, every place and every device they may currently use.
News Notes provides weekly announcements and information pertinent and helpful to Catechetical Leaders and Catechists.
The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship envisions vibrant parish and school communities on fire with faith. These communities of faith engage in evangelizing catechesis to form committed disciples who reflect the light of Christ in the World.
We, the Staff of the Office of Evangelization and Discipleship of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, advocate for the essential role of catechetical ministry in the evangelizing mission of the Church. We serve parish and school leaders by providing formation, direction skill development and resources that promote effective lifelong catechesis.
