Background Check / Fingerprinting
All new employees (cleric, parish, school, Archdiocesan employees and Archdiocesan institutions) must complete both manual and an electronic background check at time of employment with no further requirement for a manual fingerprint completed in the future. These electronic background check is done through SELECTiON.COM.

Current employees must sign up for electronic background checks through SELECTiON.COM within 5 years of their last manual fingerprinting or December 31, 2018 whichever is sooner.
If you are only volunteering, then you can do a background check through SELECTiON.COM, our background check provider. Because your background is being checked electronically on a quarterly basis, you are now able to volunteer / work anywhere within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
It is your responsibility, to make sure your contact information is current and the list of locations in your VIRTUS account is current.
If you need to have your fingerprints physically taken by SELECTiON.COM, please print out this form and bring it with you – Background Release Form.
If you would like to have copies of your background check/fingerprint results, you need to make that request in writing. Please fill out the form on the left titled Background Results Request. The results will be mailed back to your mailing address as it is found in VIRTUS. This request is ONLY for fingerprint results. You are able to make the request of having your on-line background check results sent to your home at the time of creating your on-line background check request on SELECTiON.COM.
