Thirsting for More? Theology on Tap continues! T.O.T. is a lecture and discussion series for people in their 20’s and 30’s, single or married, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and Catholic parishes. We meet in a local restaurant/bar for food, drink and lively discussion about things that matter to you and the Catholic faith. Theology on Tap West Chester begins a new series every  Tuesday in July (July 1, 8, 15, 22,29)  at CHAMMPS Americana (9424 Civic Centre Bvld, West Chester 45069). CATC_Athletics_logo200The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Charter on Catholic Youth Athletics was officially promulgated on March 1,2014. After years of work with pastors, athletics leaders, league leaders and many others across the Archdiocese, the Charter signals a new day and a fresh start for parish-based and elementary-age youth athletics. Seminarian Ultimate Frisbee Tour 2014: Our seminarians will be traveling to three different locations to take on anyone up to the challenge in a friendly game of Ultimate Frisbee. They will stop first at the Maria Stein Center on July 23 from 6-9 PM. The last two stops will be Wright State in Dayton on July 26 and Aug 2 at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati, both from 10 AM-1 PM. All stops are free and include prayer, Frisbee, and a picnic meal with our seminarians. Open to high school age or older. Men, Women & the Mystery of LoveBook Discussion: Men, Women and the Mystery of Love. This book, by Edward Sri, presents insights and practical suggestions to assist friendships, relationships and marriages with incorporating John Paul II’s “personalistic norm” (the human person should always be loved and never used as an object) into our daily lives. Fr. John Ferone, S.J., will give a presentation that offers an opportunity to slow down and to focus on the actual possibility of developing a rich prayer life in the midst of the routine chaos of our lives, which can often feel fragmented, out of balance, or out of control. Special attention will be given to the role of gratitude in developing a healthy, balanced life with God, with self, and with others. FREE Video Catechism: Knowing that the internet (and particularly video content) plays a significant role in the lives of young people, the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, association with Outside da Box, is funding a video series called VCAT. The goal is to produce relevant Catholic videos that focus on the four themes of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We are producing 48 videos over four years. Pray-as-you-go is a free daily prayer session designed for use on your MP3 player to help you pray while traveling to and from work, study, etc. It is not a ‘Thought for the Day’, but a framework for your own prayer. Lasting from 10-13 minutes, it uses music, scripture and questions for reflection. The aim is to help you to become more aware of God’s presence in your life, listen to and reflect on God’s word, and grow in your relationship with God.
