Youth Ministry

The OYYAM assists parents and leaders of our parish and school faith communities in developing youth and young adults into followers of Christ who live their Catholic faith as a comprehensive way of life.

CHOSEN:  This one evening event includes dinner, music, and engaging presentations by Steve Angrisano to help your 6-8th grader better understand what it means to be called by Jesus as a disciple today. iLumen is a day-long and in depth exploration of Jesus’ call to discipleship for youth in grades 7 and 8.  Youth will explore the “super powers” received in Baptism and be challenged to use them to build up God’s kingdom for the life of the world. NCYC 2015

The 2015 National Catholic Youth Conference: Join 25,000 of your closest friends for an exciting, 3-day experience that is the largest gathering for Catholic youth in the country. NCYC takes place in Indianapolis and includes keynotes, workshops, liturgy, reconciliation, prayer and worship, exhibits and other special activities. November 19-21, 2015. Learn more.

Respect All Life

Respect Life Action Team.  We’re looking to identify young leaders who have a passion for respect life issues, prepare them to serve as informed advocates, give them tools to evaluate their school/parish life groups and equip them to fill a role on the 2016 March for Life in Washington, DC. Formation opportunities  will be Oct 16 and 17, led in part by Steve Angrisano.   Learn more.

Youth in Crisis

Caring For Youth in Crisis: Ministry leaders are often called upon to provide pastoral care for people and communities experiencing crisis. Participants will be presented with scripturally-based pastoral care guidelines, a faith-based communal model of crisis response and practical tools for both. October 20. Learn more.

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Charter on Catholic Youth Athletics was officially promulgated on March 1,2014.  After years of work with pastors, athletics leaders, league leaders and many others across the the Archdiocese, the Charter signals a new day and a fresh start for parish-based and elementary-age youth athletics.
