FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 13, 2010

More than 130 Catholic Cub Scouts, Webelos, Boy Scouts and Venturers will receive religious emblems from Cincinnati Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr in a ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains in downtown Cincinnati at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 24.

An additional 400-plus family members and friends are expected to be in attendance as the Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, and Pope Pius XII emblems are presented to these youth in recognition of requirements completed.

Sixty-nine adults involved in Catholic Scouting throughout the Archdiocese also will be recognized during the Cathedral ceremony. They received Certificates of Recognition, Bronze Pelican and St. George awards in a ceremony last November.
