LUKE: A Lenten Event for your Parish Into The Light Productions is offering a Lenten series on the Gospel of Luke. 2010. Into The Light Productions brings scripture to life for faith communities throughout the world with live performances of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and the Book of Revelation. In the oral tradition of proclamation, the texts are presented word for word in their entirety for your faith community, in a dramatic experience of scripture, light, and music. Michael Reardon has memorized the texts and proclaims them prayerfully and powerfully. Patrick Lane adds his original live music, dramatic lighting and staging effects.
Beginning with Mark, continuing with John, Matthew, Luke, and Revelation, they have presented these works of scripture over the last twenty years in churches of many denominations, in theaters, and in sacred spaces throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Israel and Asia. In addition to these performances, other unique programs, workshops, and retreats to highlight the scripture texts are available.

Hyatt St, Tipp City OR June 9, 2010, Our Lady of Sorrows, 330 Lebanon St, Monroe Come and learn from Sister Kieran Sawyer how to implement a family-based abuse prevention program that can guide parents in offering their children a foundation for healthy and loving relationships. Learning about L.I.F.E. empowers parish leaders to lead parents at a gathering to openly discuss healthy sexual relationships and sexual abuse with their children in the wider context of positive, loving relationships. The program is rooted in the moral and doctrinal teachings of the Church and has been piloted successfully with many parishes and schools around the country. This day long workshop is sponsored by the offices of the Chancellor, Evangelization and Catechesis, Family Life, and Youth and Young Adult Ministry. WORKSHOP: “Infant Baptism: Celebration and Preparation”
This two-part workshop series, led by Jane Pierron and Carolyn Stucke, is designed for those involved in the preparation of parents for the baptism of their child. It is meant to help enrich the meaning, the celebration of and the preparation for baptism for the whole community. This is an opportunity to reflect on our own call to discipleship and explore what it means for parents to have the primary responsibility of forming their children in the faith.
