Using Media in Faith Formation
Good educational practice recognizes the importance of variety in learning activities. Children of all ages as well as adults retain more and integrate knowledge into lived experience more effectively when more than one sense is involved. With the ongoing exposure to visual media, it is a primary way that we learn.

Below is a link to a PowerPoint presentation that can be used on its own or as part of an in-service. This short presentation describes ways to make use of various types of media in the classroom. When you print out each slide, you will find a script for the in-service. The presentation includes step-by-step instructions for accessing and searching the media and print libraries of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Media Centers.
