Archdiocesan FingerprintingAll people who intend to work or volunteer in any of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati parishes, schools, or institutions must complete a background check by being fingerprinted. CostsEffective May 1, 2012, any person who needs to be fingerprinted will need to go to their primary Archdiocese of Cincinnati location to fill out a background release form (FP-1) and have it signed by the designated representative prior to being fingerprinted. If a person comes to be fingerprinted without a previously signed form, they will need to pay for the fingerprinting in cash at the time of service. Currently, the charge for a BCI is $28 and FBI is $30. Payment can be made in the form of cash or money order. Personal checks are not accepted. &mbsp> Permanent Fingerprinting SitesThe Archdiocese maintains 11 fingerprinting sites throughout the Diocese. Times and locations are found in this document. Please note that most parishes and offices are closed on Holidays. PLEASE NOTE: Site information is continuously updated, so check the website prior to going to be fingerprinted.This is especially true for the downtown Cincinnati location because during the next several weeks, downtown fingerprinting personnel will be attending meetings offsite and may not be available during regularly scheduled times. It is always best to check this website prior to going downtown Cincinnati to be fingerprinted. Permanent Fingerprinting Sites. &mbsp> Summary of Fingerprinting RequirementsIf an adult who has been fingerprinted changes location of service, he or she must be re-fingerprinted. This includes teachers and other school employees who are required to be licensed by the State of Ohio. If there is a one year break in service, the adult must be re-fingerprinted, even if the service is at the same location. Ohio House Bill 79 and House Bill 190 requires all educators, school employees and personnel for private contractors to have a BCI and FBI background check. Pertaining to volunteers, a BCI background check must be completed, and if you have not lived continuously in the State of Ohio for five years prior to the WebCheck, you are required to have an FBI background check also. This summary contains updated fingerprint requirements for school employees, third party contactors, and volunteers. This is the form we request all people being fingerprinted by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to fill out. All Archdiocesan fingerprinting sites have these forms available. However, you may print and fill this form out prior to being fingerprinted. This form should also be signed by someone in authority at your location where you are working / volunteering.
