On January 6, 2012, StoneBridge Business Partners wrote the following to the Most Reverend Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop of Cincinnati:

“Based on the results of our recently performed on-site audit of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, the Archdiocese has been found to be in compliance with all audited Articles within the Charter for the Protection of Young People for the 2010/2011 audit period.

“The conclusions reached as to the compliance of your Archdiocese are based upon our inquiry, observation and the review of specifically requested documentation furnished to StoneBridge Business Partners during the course of this audit.

“Thank you for your cooperation during this process.”

StoneBridge Business Partners of Rochester, NY, was retained by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to monitor dioceses’ compliance with the Charter.

Since 1993, more than 116,000 clergy, employees, and volunteers have been trained in the provisions of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Decree on Child Protection. Since 2003, more than 79,000 adults have had criminal background checks performed, including 60,000 currently working with children.

Archbishop Schnurr urges anyone who was abused as a child by a priest or any other representative of the Archdiocese, or knows someone who was, to report the abuse immediately to the secular legal authorities and to the Victim Assistance Coordinator of the Archdiocese, Sandy Kaiser, at (513) 263-6623.
