Tech Meetings

We will have two Tech meetings in November.  We will be discussing new issues in technology for the Archdiocese.  I also want to open up a round table type discussion where we will discuss what is happening in the schools, what we need in the schools and how can we accomplish these goals as an Archdiocese.  You may come to either meeting.

November 18th  Sacred Heart, Fairfield  3- 5 pm.  Attendees need to enter the River Rd parking lot and park in the lot marked "seniors", signs and 8th grade "techies" will help direct attendees to Fellowship Hall.

November 19th Trinity Center, Dayton 3-5pm

266 Bainbridge St. Dayton, Ohio

Please RSVP to me which meeting you will attend. sgabert@catholiccincinnati.org or call 937-223-5151

Google Awards

Google is committed to the belief that today's youth will invent the greatest technologies of the future. We feel that every student should have the opportunity to shine, and that success is made possible through a solid educational foundation. With that in mind, we are excited to introduce Google RISE (Roots in Science and Engineering) Awards.

This new awards program is designed to support non-profit organizations and university faculty, staff and students group interested in advancing science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and computer science education. Special consideration will be given to programs that impact students from communities with longstanding under representation in computing and technology. Award amounts will range from $500 - $15,000 in financial and in-kind support. We are currently accepting applications for funding in 2009, and the submission deadline is December 1, 2008.

For additional details and to apply, please visit the Google RISE Awards site.
