The Archdiocese of Cincinnati welcomes qualified individuals to work as substitute teachers in Archdiocesan schools. The requirements to be a substitute teacher in all Archdiocese of Cincinnati Schools are:
1. A current State of Ohio substitute license (bachelor’s degree required) or current
teaching license.2. An approved background check (fingerprints) by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as a
substitute teacher. Background checks by other agencies will not be accepted.3. Attendance at the Child Protection Decree Orientation.

To be considered by the schools listed below as hiring substitute teachers, the applicant must mail or email the following to the school contact:
1. a Xerox copy of the current State of Ohio substitute license or teaching license;
2. a Xerox copy of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Approval for Working with Children
(shows completion of an Archdiocesan background check as a substitute and
completion of the Child Protection Decree Orientation)3. a cover letter giving background information; availability for employment; and
