Weavers of Justice
A Focus on Homelessness in the Dayton Region
The Weavers of Justice, as part of our mission, work together on justice issues so we can have a greater impact by doing together what we can't do alone. The Weavers of Justice have made a commitment to learn about the 10-year plan to End Chronic Homelessness and Reduce Overall Homelessness in Dayton and Montgomery County so that our parish communities can become effective participants in the implementation of this plan. Will you join us in this important effort?

JOIN A HOMELESSNESS ACTION TEAM
Education Team: This team is developing a comprehensive educational campaign for churches on homelessness with a particular focus on the 10-year plan to End Chronic Homelessness and Reduce Overall Homelessness in Dayton and Montgomery County.
Action Team: This team is developing a specific project that our parishes can participate in related to the issue of homelessness. Current issues being explored include responding to the "NIMBY" issue - Not In My Back Yard, and looking at a way to contribute to the need for more affordable housing.
Legislative Advocacy Team: This team is developing a strategy for developing legislative networks in churches so that we can monitor and act on important legislative alerts that will impact homelessness. This team will also keep the Weavers of Justice updated on the city's progress and needs related to the implementation of the 10-year plan.
