Historic Glendale faith community honored
ST. ANDREW DEANERY — As 2007 comes to a close, parishioners at St. Gabriel Church in Glendale are marking the end of a double anniversary celebration for this faith community that has played a significant role in the history of the northern part of Hamilton County.

Visitation youths experience first NCYC
ARCHDIOCESE — A group of seven youths and two adult chaperons from Visitation Parish in Eaton were among the 400 youths from the archdiocese that attended the National Catholic Youth Conference in Columbus last month.


Retrouvaille is ‘lifeline’ for hurting marriages
ATLANTA — Calling Retrouvaille "a lifeline" for hurting marriages, Bishop J. Kevin Boland of Savannah reminded married couples and priests at the movement’s 30th anniversary International Council Meeting.


A different party scene at Xavier
ARCHDIOCESE — On Nov. 30, about 50 Xavier students boarded a bus at 6 a.m. for a 10-hour ride to Des Moines, Iowa. Not exactly the center of the college student party scene, but different parties are at play here.
