Purcell Marian students step forward to collect food ST. FRANCIS DE SALES DEANERY - During the month of November, students, faculty, families, and friends of Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati participated in the school's annual canned food and clothing drives. Fundamentalist regimes post grave threats to women ARCHDIOCESE This past June, Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Louise Akers, co-coordinator of the congregations Office of Peace, Justice and Integrity of Creation, was among the participants at a large international forum held in Villepinte, a small town north of Paris, France. St. Xavier, Mother of Mercy celebrate state crowns ARCHDIOCESE For the second time in the past three years, the St. Xavier Bombers football team is the Ohio Division I State Champion, after defeating the Mentor Cardinals by a score of 27-0. With the win, the Bombers completed a perfect 15-0 season, also their second in three years as well as only the second ever by a Catholic school from Ohio. Furthermore, it was the first shutout in the state title games since 1981, and only the second ever. St. Patrick students remember Pearl Harbor SIDNEY DEANERY Its been 66 years since the attack at Pearl Harbor, and Bob Barrett wants to make sure todays kids remember the sailors and soldiers who died that day as well as all those who have paid the ultimate price defending our country. CJ Lady Eagles to play top basketball teams DAYTON DEANERY Chaminade Juliennes girls varsity basketball team will head to Albuquerque, N.M., over the holidays to play the nations top-ranked basketball programs. |
