Grateful Believers
Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk has begun a new initiative that he hopes will build an archdiocese of "grateful believers." This column, which will appear weekly in The Catholic Telegraph in the coming months, is part of this diocesan-wide endeavor.

Overtures
This is the three-year series by Cincinnati Archbishop Daniel E.Pilarczyk that appeared weekly in The Catholic Telegraph. Overtures focused on the first readings of the Sunday liturgy, with questions offered for individual or group discussion. Click here to access all articles in the series.

Puritan influence ‘on tap’
While Puritans often are remembered primarily as a morally austere group that settled Massachusetts.

Rollin’ on the river
ARCHDIOCESE — Cruising up and down the river on a breezy afternoon Sept. 14, Serra Club of Cincinnati was host to retired priests and seminarians for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for an afternoon boat ride aboard the cruising boat Destiny.

Praying for those who grow our daily bread
ST. MARTIN DEANERY — Farm families, guests and friends gathered Sept. 21 at the farm of Debbie and Steve Phillips in Clermont County to celebrate the annual St. Martin Deanery farm Mass, a liturgy that both celebrates the harvest time and the very special gifts that farmers bring to the table — literally — in our daily lives. Sponsored by the archdiocese’s Social Action Office and the St. Martin Rural Life Conference, the liturgy provides a unique opportunity each year to give thanks to those living on and working farms in the archdiocese. St. Martin Deanery contains some of the largest tracts of farmland in the southwest Ohio archdiocese.

The wheels on the bus go ‘round, but not for all
ST. LAWRENCE DEANERY — It wasn’t the best way to start a new school year as some Catholic school students on Cincinnati’s west side found themselves without an easy way to get to school.
