As the oldest continuously published Catholic diocesan newspaper in the United States, we have a proud 175-year-old tradition to maintain. You will find in this area just a small segment of what is included each week in our newspaper, and I hope it may make you wish to learn more about the faith and about our publication. Mission Statement

The Catholic Telegraph is the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. As such, it shares directly in the mission of the archdiocese to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by evangelizing, educating, informing and fostering dialogue.

The Catholic Telegraph EVANGELIZES by proclaiming stories of God's great deeds taking place in both the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the universal Church. In this way it fosters a spirit of unity, pride and gratitude throughout the church.

The Catholic Telegraph EDUCATES by challenging its readers to a deeper understanding of Catholic teaching and to a greater commitment in living it out.

The Catholic Telegraph INFORMS by providing objective and accurate news information about the church, both local and worldwide. In doing this it attempts neither to avoid controversy nor to sensationalize it.

The Catholic Telegraph FOSTERS DIALOGUE by providing a forum for a healthy discussion of issues within the Catholic community. The Catholic Telegraph promotes the airing of diverse viewpoints within a framework which is supportive of church teaching.
