According to Franciscan Sister Nancy Linenkugel, Chatfield College president, the decision to move the colleges facilities was made by the Chatfield College board of trustees and its executive committee in order "to locate our Cincinnati Campus in a more central and neutral location with higher visibility and improved access for the community."
"This relocation will provide us with an opportunity to link with a well-respected Catholic organization to help foster our mission to provide life-skills to persons who might best succeed in our supportive, small-college experience," said Sister Nancy. "The centers location," she said, "will help the college to better serve those persons."
The move to Mercy Franciscan at St. John is a "mission appropriate" one for Chatfield, said Robert Peiffer, chief academic officer and dean of the Cincinnati Campus. "Moving to the Findlay Market area will definitely affirm our mission and our ministry," said Peiffer. "The St. John facility will enable Chatfield to serve
this vibrant neighborhood."
