Ten ordained transitional deacons at cathedral

ARCHDIOCESE — Cincinnati Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk ordained 10 men transitional deacons on April 26 at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains. The men are studying for the priesthood at the Athenaum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and will be ordained to the priesthood in 2009.

Seven of the new deacons will serve the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as priests; three are studying to be ordained for the Diocese of Toledo.

The new transitional deacons for Cincinnati, with their home parishes, are: Martin E. Bachman, St. Jude, Bridgetown; David J. Endres, Sacred Heart, Fairfield; Robert F. Hadden, St. Mary, Greenville; Shawn R. Landenwitch, Our Lady of the Visitation, Cincinnati; Matthew K. Lee, St. Mary of the Woods, Russells Point; Barry J. Stechchulte, St. Philip the Apostle in Morrow and St. Augustine in Minster; and Anthony G. Tozzi, St. Gabriel in Glendale.

From the Diocese of Toledo, Christophe G. Bohnsack, Jason J. Kahle and Anthony L. Recker were ordained.
