Area Catholic high schools celebrate commencement

ARCHDIOCESE — Sure as the flowers bloom in springtime, so do thousands of students don caps and gowns to mark the end of their high school years.

The Catholic Telegraph presents its annual list of graduation information to help readers make plans to celebrate the accomplishments of friends and family members.

Archbishop Alter High School

Baccalaureate Mass is scheduled for May 30, 6 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo in Kettering. Commencement ceremony begins 9:30 a.m. on May 31 at James S. Trent Arena in Kettering. Valedictorian is Sarah Lechleiter; salutatorian is Brianna Liberio.

Roger Bacon High School

Baccalaureate Mass is scheduled for June 5 in the school’s Fogarty Center. Graduation is June 6 in the Fogarty Center. Valedictorian is Kevin Knollman; salutatorian is Natalie Foertmeyer.

Stephen T. Badin High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 29, 8 p.m., at Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield. Commencement will be held May 30, 8 p.m., in St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. Valedictorians: Laura Boehm, Tricia McCutchan, Ryan Miller and Elizabeth Sunderhaus.

Carroll High School

The baccalaureate Mass and commencement will be held May 31, 10 a.m., at the Dayton Convention Center. Valedictorians are Adam Ferguson and Benjamin Heider; salutatorians are Jennifer Batty, Jonathan McArdle and Janet Starkey.

Catholic Central, Springfield

Baccalaureate Mass and commencement will be held May 30, 7 p.m. at Kuss Auditorium. Valedictorian is Patrick Herron; salutatorians are Louise Carroll and Sarah Halula.

Chaminade-Julienne High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 27, 7:30 p.m., at Emmanuel Church in Dayton. Graduation ceremony will be May 28, 7 p.m., in the Schuster Center.

Elder High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 26, 9:30 a.m., at St. Teresa of Avila Church. Commencement will take place May 27, 8 p.m., at the Cintas Center of Xavier University. Valedictorian is Thomas S. Minning; salutatorian is Nathan T. Mendel. Guest speaker is Thomas D. Aug.

Bishop Fenwick High School

The baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 30, 6:30 p.m., at St. Susanna Church. Commencement ceremonies follow immediately. Co-valedictorians are Anna Malee and Paul Fahey.

LaSalle High School

The baccalaureate Mass and commencement will be held May 26, 4:30 p.m., at Music Hall. Valedictorian is Timothy Moeller; salutatorian is Michael Deyhle.

Lehman Catholic High School

The baccalaureate Mass is May 23, 7:30 p.m., at St. Boniface Church in Piqua. Commencement will be held May 25, 2 p.m., in the school’s Schlater Gymnasium. Valedictorian is Brittany Schaefer; salutatorian is Amanda Duritsch.

McAuley High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 27, 7:30 p.m., at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. Commencement is May 28, 7:30 p.m., at Duke Energy Center. Valedictorian is Devon Widmer; salutatorian is Leigh Ann Rechel.

Archbishop McNicholas High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 29, 7 p.m., in Guardian Angels Church. Commencement is May 30, 7:30 p.m., Duke Energy Center.

Mother of Mercy High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 28, 7:30 p.m., at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. Commencement will take place May 30, 7:30 p.m., at the high school. Valedictorian is Kayla McWilliams; salutatorian is Emily Hautman.

Archbishop Moeller High School

Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 19, 7:30 p.m., at Good Shepherd Church. Commencement ceremonies are May 22, 8 p.m., at Landmark Baptist Church Auditorium. Valedictorian is Michael Dickert; salutatorian is Brent Suter.

Mount Notre Dame High School

The baccalaureate mass will be celebrated May 20, 7 p.m., at St. Columban Church in Loveland. Commencement ceremonies are May 27, 7:30 p.m., at the Oasis Conference Center. Valedictorian is Yana Bjers.

Purcell Marian High School

The baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 22 at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral, followed immediately by commencement. Valedictorian is Bryan Sigward; salutatorian is Jeremy Lamb.

Seton High School

Baccalaureate Mass is scheduled for May 29, 7:30 p.m., at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. Commencement will immediately follow. The valedictorian is Katie Talbott; salutatorian is JJ Kerley.

Summit Country Day School

The baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated June 1, 2 p.m., in the school’s Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel.

St. Ursula Academy

The baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated May 24 in the school’s gym/convocation center. Commencement is May 25 at Music Hall. Valedictorian is Sarah Grogan; salutatorian is Rebecca Mat-thews.

Ursuline Academy

Baccalaureate Mass is May 31 at the school. Commencement is June 2 at the Oasis Conference Center.

St. Xavier High School

Baccalaureate Mass is scheduled to be celebrated June 1, 10 a.m., in the Berning Gym at the school. Commencement is June 4, 7:30 p.m., at the Cintas Center of Xavier University.
