Brother Larry Jochim

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Glenmary Brother Larry Jochim. He died Sept. 27 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield at the age of 76.

Brother Larry was a carpenter who, along with other Glenmary Home Missioners Brothers, provided construction and building repair help to Glenmary Missions in Appalachia, the south and the southwest United States.

He joined Glenmary in 1948 and served as the prefect for Brothers in training in Cincinnati from 1953-65, when he became a member of the building crew. A self-taught carpenter, he help complete 46 major building projects in a span of 40 years in more than 30 mission and ministry sites in 12 states. Among the most memorable sites were the Glenmary headquarters in Fairfield and a church in Norton, Va. He was assigned as a parish Brother in 1998 at a church in Oklahoma.

Interment was in the Glenmary cemetery.

Sister Ann Patrice McKeon

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 17 for Dominican Sister of Hope Ann Patrice McKeon, 88, at the Dominican Sisters of Hope chapel in Newburgh, N.Y. She died at the convent infirmary Oct. 14.

Sister Ann Patrice entered the novitiate of the Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor in 1944 and made her final profession in 1949 She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Edgecliff College in Cincinnati. She served for many years in home health agencies in Springfield, Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus. She also worked as the senior Sisters nurse at the Mount St. Mary Convent Infirmary and in the promotion department for the Dominican Sisters in Ossining, N.Y. She retired from active ministry in 1996.

Interment was in the Dominican Sisters of Hope cemetery in Ossining.

Sister Ramona Lunsford

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 17 for Franciscan Sister Ramona Lunsford, 71, at †he Sisters of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg, Ind. She died Oct. 15.

Sister Ramona was a teacher at several schools in Indiana and Ohio. She served on the General Council for the Franciscan Congregation from 1982-86. She ministered as director of development from 1988-2000. From 2001 until her death, she was clerical assistant and driver for St. Clare Hall.

She is survived by her sisters, Rita Gramman, Alice Springman, Charlene Bravard, Emilie Market and Elaine Amberger; and her brothers, Richard Arnold, Ralph, Steve and Willie Lunsford.

Interment was in the convent cemetery.
