Praying for God’s wisdom

Red Mass celebrated at St. Xavier Church

CATHEDRAL DEANERY — Each year in cities around the world, lawyers, judges and lawmakers come together to pray for God’s grace and wisdom to assist them in carrying out faithfully their professional duties. The service, known as the Red Mass, is well attended by people of all faiths.

This year, the Red Mass was celebrated Sept. 14, at St. Xavier Church. Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk was the main celebrant

Ohio Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer delivered the featured address after the Mass. A reception at St. Xavier followed the celebration.
