Blue Mass honors rescue workers

Special liturgy held at St. Rita, Dayton

DAYTON DEANERY — Remembering the sacrifice and commitment given by those working for our fire departments, police departments and emergency services, a "Blue Mass" was held Sept. 8 at St. Rita Church in Dayton, just prior to the anniversary of the Sept. 11 disasters in New York City, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania.

Personnel from throughout the Greater Miami Valley joined St. Rita pastor, Father Geoffrey Drew, in remembering the ultimate sacrifice given on Sept. 11.
