CELEBRATING MARRIAGE
$3.00 - A new
resource from the Worship Office, Celebrating Marriage,
is designed to aid engaged couples in the thoughtful
preparation of their wedding liturgy. A guide for all involved
in this planning, it includes an updated theology of the
sacrament, a discussion of the role of music for this ritual
celebration and planning guides to assist in preparation of the
wedding liturgy with Mass or outside of Mass. The handbook is
also a convenient source for the official translation of revised
lectionary texts, as well as the current Sacramentary
prayers suggested for this celebration. A wonderful guide for

GUIDELINES FOR ADORATION AND
EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT , Archdiocese of
Cincinnati - $5.00 These guidelines have been designed to
help parishes to understand more fully the theology and history
of adoration and exposition, as well as offer guidelines for the
celebration of Exposition and Benediction. The booklet offers
reading and music suggestions for the Rite of Exposition as well
as a planning guide to assist in the preparation of the rite.

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION: A Parish Formation
Program, Archdiocese of

purchased The purpose of this publication is to assist
pastors and parish staff members in their ministry, especially
as they train Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to carry
out their duties within the liturgy with reverence and proper
decorum. The historical, theological, spiritual, and

those who prepare training programs in the parish with useful
information and resources, as well as serve as an excellent
resource for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK - This
pamphlet serves as an excellent introduction to the history,
celebration and theology of the sacrament of the anointing of
the sick and gives practical examples of when, where, by whom
and for whom it may be celebrated. This is a great
catechetical resource for the faithful and may be placed in
bulletins or in magazines racks.

PREPARING FUNERAL LITURGIES: A
Liturgical Handbook for Bereavement Committees (Revised)

As of Pentecost 2002, every parish is required to use the
newly revised lectionary, not only for Sundays, but for weekdays
and ritual masses. The Worship Office has revised the funeral
preparation handbook so that it now contains the official
translation of the lectionary texts for funeral liturgies, as
well as updated material on the preparation of funerals. The
revised edition also contains directives on the presence of
cremated remains at the Funeral mass. This new handbook will be
very helpful for all bereavement ministers.

challenges to the revised rites of the Order of Christian
Funerals, this statement reflects the fruits of the study by
the NCCB Committee on the Liturgy about evolving Catholic burial

overview of the role of music in the funeral liturgy with an

Funeral Mass. A number of suggestions for appropriate liturgical

ORGAN GUIDELINES

by the Music Sub-Committee of the Worship Commission of the
Archdiocese of Cincinnati, this booklet provides an overview of
the factors to be considered in any organ project; purchase,
renovation or restoration. A list of further resources and
listings of Pipe Organ Builders throughout the United States are
provided in this resource.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY GUIDELINES FOR
CHURCH MUSICIANS, Archdiocese of Cincinnati $5.00 The fifth
edition of this document which was first developed in 1968 and
adopted as policy by hundreds of parishes across the country,
simplifies and updates previous editions while retaining their
important elements. These guidelines explore areas of
professional responsibility for musicians and parish,
suggestions for proficiency exam requirements in addition to
providing resource lists, sample interview outline and sample
contract. This is an excellent resource for assisting parishes
to establish and maintain a fine program of liturgical music.
CHILDREN WITHIN THE WORSHIPING
COMMUNITY ON SUNDAY $3.00 Developed by the Worship Office of
the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, this booklet addresses several
concerns about the needs of children at Sunday Eucharist and
provides guidelines for parish leaders based on the principles
found in THE DIRECTORY FOR MASSES WITH CHILDREN.

YOUTH AND SUNDAY MASS: Preparing
youth for Liturgy and Preparing the Liturgy Well - (1-5
copies -$1.00, 5-25 copies -$.85, 26+ copies - $.75) To
assist parish leaders in finding ways to encourage youth to
actively participate in the Mass, the Offices of Youth Ministry
and Worship for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati offer this
resource for reflection and discussion. Included are a summary
of foundational principles for understanding the liturgy,
practical strategies to include youth in the life and worship of
the parish, suggestions for liturgical catechesis as well as
answers to frequently asked questions about youth and the
liturgy.

that the process of building or renovating a parish
worship space can either be a formidable task or a process by
which the community of faith comes to understand its worship and
what it is that we do when we worship, the Worship Office has
developed this guide for use by parish building committees and
worship commissions. Based on current teachings of the Church ,
it communicates the expectations of the Archdiocese of
Cincinnati in regard to the building or renovation of the parish
worship space.
