MISCELLANEOUS
Lent 4.5 : A 7-Week Faith Formation Program for Your Parish. Imagine if the Earth were divided equally among all of us. Each person would receive 4.5 acres. Now imagine that everything you need–food, energy, home, clothing, gadgets–must come from those 4.5 acres. But it takes 22.3 acres to maintain the average American lifestyle. Lent 4.5 is a new way of observing Lent that helps us care for God’s creation by taking steps toward using only our fair share of its resources. For more information, go to www.earthandspiritcenter.org.

Free Mission Trip for a College Student: The Franciscans for the Poor will pay for the expenses for a college student majoring in Youth Ministry to attend a mission trip in Cincinnati, Ohio June 26-July 1, 2011. If you are or know of such a student, please have them contact: Chris Lemmon at DirectorFranForThePoor@fuse.net. Those participating must be approved to work with youth in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati by having attended an orientation workshop on the Decree on Child Protection and completed an acceptable background check.

Freedom to Love: The world tells us that freedom is the ability to do what we want, whenever we want, with whomever we want. But sexual chaos, exploitation, broken families, and a lot of pain have been the result of this “freedom.” In Theology of the Body, Pope John Paul II turned the notion of freedom on its head, declaring it to be selfless rather than selfish. Freedom to Love is a powerful, five-part DVD study for young adults, perfect for your young adult group. For more information, find it under Resources at www.theologyofthebody.com or click here.

Help us update our records! E-mails and addresses change quickly this day and age, and this is especially true among young adults. Please go to our website and check out the new update link at catholiccincinnati.org/ministries-offices/young-adult/update-information. Please fill it out, hit submit, and you’re done! If you know anyone who is no longer receiving their e-zine but would like to, invite them to fill one out too. Return as often as you like, whenever anything changes.
