YOUNG ADULT-FRIENDLY NEWS AND EVENTS THAT PROMOTE CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING

                       from violence to healing”

This speaking tour will be presenting at Xavier University, Sept.29: Kelley Auditorium at 7:30PM. This is a group of murder victim family members who oppose the death penalty.  A panel presentation could include family members of death row inmates, family of murdered person, former inmates and speakers on the death penalty. Questions and discussion will follow. For more information call 513-745-4248. 1. Click on the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops website for official statements from Pope John Paul II, the USCCB, and church encyclicals about U.S. war with Iraq as well as theology of war and peace and just war theory.

2.  Click on the Pax Christi USA website for peace-related prayer services, statements, resources and links to sites where you can learn "news you can use" about such issues as selective conscientious objection.

3.  Click on the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry website for "young person-friendly" learning and teaching materials about just war theory, peace and the present war.

PREVENT VIOLENCE AGAINST THE UNBORN

Helpers of God’s Precious Infants:
Every 2nd Saturday of the month, join hundreds of faith-filled young adults and others for Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and a rosary procession to nearby Planned Parenthood. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church on Auburn Avenue in Clifton. Many of us proceed to Bruegger’s Bagels for a follow-up breakfast.
