LAUDATE: Forming Youth for Music Ministry!
Now in its fourth year, this popular four-day, three-night workshop will feature
sessions in voice, organ, piano, guitar, and other instruments used in liturgy.
Teens will learn liturgy fundamentals and hear witnesses from those who work
in the field both full and part-time. This program is designed for young people
who love song, music, and faith, and want to bring them together in a fun
community experience during the summer.

Discernment
Weekend for Women: If you or any young woman you know
has thought about consecrated religious life, consider this upcoming
retreat sponsored by our vocations office. Offered at the Our Lady of the Holy
Spirit Center on June 6-8 (7 p.m. Friday to 12 noon Sunday), this retreat offers
a peaceful time to pray and reflect on what a vocation in religious life would
be like. Retreatants will hear religious sisters talk about their own calling,
answer questions, and have the opportunity to experience Christ's presence
during Adoration and Benediction. For young women from 15 to 30 years old,
registration is $35 per person, limited to 50 participants. For

iDive,
iPlunge This summer the Jesuit Spiritual Center is
sponsoring service learning retreats for teens, including a 2-day iDive June
11-12 and a 6-day iPlunge July 20-25. The retreats will combine
volunteer service in the Greater Cincinnati area with Ignatian study and prayer,
and will offer 13- through 18-year-olds an opportunity to put faith into action.
Retreatants will be housed at the Jesuit Spiritual Center and will spend their
days alternating between work projects and service learning experiences at such
helping organizations as Tender Mercies, Mary Magdalene House and the Free Store

Summer 2008 ZAMA Student Film Camps.
Students will have the opportunity to be trained by Media Professionals and
experience the full production process. Each student will walk away from the
camp with a wealth of media knowledge and a short film they helped to create,
along with spiritual insights on how media can be used to influence society. The
2008 camp dates and locations are: June 22-27 at Kings Domain (just north
of Cincinnati), July 7-11 in Florence KY, and two options at the

Catholic
Soccer Camp:
One of the first of its kind, a new Catholic soccer camp
for young people 8-17 years old is coming this summer to the Franciscan University of Steubenville, in
collaboration with the World Youth Soccer Academy and The Soccer Academy©
Television Show. With an international team of world-class players as
instructors, the purpose is to promote Catholic-Christian values while teaching
the beautiful game of soccer at a world class level. There are two camps two
choose from , July 6th-11th or July 13th-18th, 2008. Full cost is $595
(including a soccer uniform with two jerseys and a ball) for the week, or only

One Bread, One Cup:
Bring your youth to a five-day liturgical leadership conference for parish and
school teams of high school students and their leaders at St. Meinrad School of
Theology in Indiana on June 16-20, June 27-July 1, or July 7-11, 2008.
This conference brings a greater understanding of involvement in and enthusiasm
for the liturgy to today’s teenagers. Youth and their adult ministers are formed
in the spirituality and theology of liturgy and are trained in the ministries
performed at liturgical prayer. The daily schedule of the conference
includes theology sessions, liturgical skills sessions, spirituality sessions,
Mass, Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours, and time
for recreation and socializing. Cost for tuition, room and board is $450.

St. Mary's College 2008 Spiritual Leaders:
An Institute for Young Women of
Faith. Female high school students who will be sophomores, juniors
or seniors in Fall 2008 are welcome to this spiritual leaders institute put on
by St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN from July 6-12, 2008. Total
cost for all programming, housing, meals and outings is only $200.

Thousands
to Cross Purple People Bridge for Life: For the third year, thousands of
people will gather Sunday, June 1, 2008 (2-4:00 pm) for the annual Cross
the Bridge for Life across the Purple People Bridge to raise awareness for the
sanctity of human life. Over twenty area pro-life organizations have organized
this event for a tri-state celebration of life. All participants will
first meet at the World Peace Bell Center at 421 Monmouth St. in Newport, KY, by
Newport On-the-Levee. The event will begin with a brief program conducted
by Honorary Event Chairman, Brian Patrick, host of the Son Rise Morning Show,
Sacred Heart Radio, then kick off with Brian's ringing of the World Peace Bell.
Bagpipers from the Ancient Order of Hibernians will lead walkers across the
bridge. The event will end back at the World Peace Bell with food provided
by JTM Food Group, and music by Last Day and Popple.
Due to generous sponsors, the event and all included is FREE, including
t-shirts (appreciated donation $5.00 each). All are welcome to participate
in Cross the Bridge for Life-a day of family fun and powerful prayer. For

This new subscription site provides 54 core catechetical sessions
that are foundational to systematic catechesis, making the work of any youth
minister much easier. Designed to go hand-in-hand with Youth Ministry
Access, together they provide numerous sessions, retreats, service
events family faith sharing programs and more, to help you help youth connect

your graduating seniors carry their faith into college! Please
encourage your graduating seniors to complete the information form at:
www.cdeducation.org/oym/cm/connection.htm, created by the Catholic
Conference of Ohio. The data collected on the form will be sent directly to the
Ohio diocesan director of campus ministry for the Ohio college or university the
student is going to attend. The diocesan director will then communicate this
information to the appropriate campus minister or nearby parish, to help your
students connect with the campus ministry programs and area parishes where they
will be studying. In addition to the online form, a printer-friendly version of
the form is also available at the same website for you to distribute to and

Franciscans for the Poor is scheduling 2009 urban plunges for high school youth
groups and campus ministries. If your church is considering a mission trip, but
the travel costs are prohibiting you from moving forward, consider staying

Clement's Convent in St. Bernard) and volunteer at more than 15 different sites
