At their annual meeting, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic Committee on
Religious Recognitions (ACCCORR), which oversees religious recognitions programs
for Girl Scouts and American Heritage Girls, determined that it was their clear
preference to obtain medals and patches directly from the National Federation of
Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), rather than through our office.
Therefore, as of this date, religious medals and patches for the following
programs will normally be purchased directly from the NFCYM in Washington, DC:
A detailed explanation on how to do this can be found on the
procedures page (also found on the links on the
left hand side).
We understand that it will take some time for people to get used to this new
procedure, so the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry will keep a small stock
of medals (but not patches) on hand for emergencies. Feel free to contact your
regional OYYAM if you have any questions.
Please know that we are deeply grateful for all you do to promote the Catholic
faith and its values in Girl Scouting and American Heritage Girls. Be assured of
our prayers for you and the very important work you do with our young Church.
