ANDREA PARKER is the Associate Director for the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry for
the Dayton/Northern areas of the Archdiocese. Andrea has nearly 30 years
of parish and diocesan ministry experience. She has served as prayer
coordinator for the Springfield Convocation on Catechesis for the New
England Region and co-coordinated the Regions 6 and 7 liturgy for NCYC
in Indianapolis. Andrea is the presenter for the session on prayer and
worship with youth in Foundations in Leadership for Catholic Youth Ministry
through the University of Dayton.
SR. CATHY BAUER, OSB is a Benedictine
sister of St. Walburg Monastery where she also serves as the vocation
director. She has nearly 30 years of experience in developing service
programs with a foundational prayer element. Sr. Cathy is a popular
retreat leader for Catholic high schools and is the spiritual advisor
the Kentucky Catholic College Students Conference.
JEREMY HELMES is a campus minister and liturgist at the University of Dayton.
He has served in parishes of the Archdiocese as a liturgist/pastoral musician for
nearly a decade. Jeremy is a frequent speaker/clinician for workshops on
liturgical music, both regionally and nationally and is a co-founder and
team leader for LAUDATE, a summer workshop for young music ministers in
the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
JIM MURRAY is a religion teacher and campus minister at Carroll High School in
Dayton. He has over 20 years of experience in parish youth and pastoral
ministry. Jim has a BA in Religious Studies and MS Ed. in Community
Counseling from the University of Dayton. Having a passion for ritual
prayer and liturgy, Jim has been a presenter for
Empowering Teens to Pray for over 10 years.
FR. JOHN TONKIN was raised Methodist and became a Catholic at the age of 18.
He worked in the business world until the Lord called him to the priesthood. He
entered Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in 1999, was ordained a priest in 2005
and was assigned to St. Susanna in Mason as parochial vicar. Fr. John is
currently the pastor of Sacred Heart parish in McCartyville and serves
on a sub-committee on sacraments for the Archdiocesan effort on
nurturing family faith.
